17th June 2006 - Limerick Red Cross to represent Ireland at the European
First Aid Competitions at FACE in Assisi, Italy. More

- 13th May 2006 - Limerick to host Irish Red Cross national
President's Trophy First Aid Competition at the University of Limerick.
All are welcome to attend to watch the teams from across the country
compete in realistic accident scenarios
- February 2006 - Limerick Area Cadets (under-16s) take
part in a major fundraiser across the county. The youth members were
sponsored to take part in a CPR-a-thon. The money raised will go to
improving the communications network in the area which allows us to
perform vital first aid functions at events and in case of a major emergency.
- 10 Nov 2005 - Cert Presentation will take place tonight
at the IRC Building, 58 Henry St. Mayor Diarmuid Scully will present
over 30 members with certificates in Intermediate First Aid, Emergency
Medical First Responder, Safe Lifting, Peer Support among others.
- 08 Oct 2005 - Limerick Area wins all four Irish Red
Cross competitons at Ballyfin, Co. Laois. The area won in the cadet
(under 16) team and individual and the novice (in the Red Cross less
than three years) team and individual competitions. Congratulations
to all the members who competed in the competitions.
- 22 Sep 2005 - Limerick Area team is presented the
President's Trophy by President Mary McAleese for winning the Irish
Red Cross All-Ireland senior team competition in May this year. The
Limerick team will go on to represent Ireland at the European finals
in Italy during July 2006.
